Backwoods & Friends

Backwoods & Friends at Cains Ballroom

Backwoods & Friends brings a familiar name back into a room that has long been part of Tulsa's live-music identity. At Cains Ballroom in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Sunday, November 22, 2026 at 7:00 PM, the night is framed as a revival of Backwoods' community, creativity, and campfire-born culture. That alone gives the event a distinct pull: it feels rooted in something shared, something built by people who already know the value of gathering around music with purpose and personality.

The appeal here is not just the name on the listing, but the story behind it. According to the founders, they have reacquired Backwoods and are restoring the spirit that defined its early growth. That makes this event stand out for listeners who are drawn to music scenes with a sense of identity and a bigger vision behind them. It also carries the promise of momentum, since the Cain's Ballroom gathering is part of a longer revitalization plan that leads toward a soft launch in 2027 and the 20th anniversary in 2028. For anyone who likes following a creative comeback as it takes shape, that context adds real interest.

Among Tulsa concerts, this date has a thoughtful kind of appeal: it is not just another night on the calendar, but a chance to see a revival presented in a historic venue with its own reputation for live performance. The combination of place, timing, and backstory makes the listing easy to imagine as an evening worth planning around, especially for people who appreciate music events with community roots and a clear future.
