Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band at The Cove At River Spirit Casino Resort

Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band brings a focused, guitar-forward blues sound to The Cove At River Spirit Casino Resort in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Thursday, November 19, 2026 at 8:00 PM. If you like music that moves with both muscle and control, this date has plenty to offer. Shepherd's band is presented by its own site as a headline act on the modern blues scene, and the appeal is immediate: strong lead guitar, a direct emotional tone, and songs that keep the blues rooted in tradition while sounding current.

Part of what makes the group so easy to root for is the balance between craft and accessibility. The band has been nominated five times for a Grammy Award and has earned two Billboard Music Awards, two Blues Music Awards, and two Orville H. Gibson Awards, along with three platinum-selling CDs and one gold-selling CD. That background signals a group with serious reach, yet the music still feels built for listeners who want something grounded, bluesy, and alive in the room. Noah Hunt has been the lead singer since 1998, adding a steady vocal presence to the band's signature sound.

The catalog also gives this Tulsa live music stop extra depth. Ledbetter Heights arrived in 1995, Trouble Is... followed in 1997, Live On in 1999, and Goin' Home in 2014, showing a long arc of recorded work without losing the core identity that drew fans in. Chris Layton joined in the studio for Ledbetter Heights and began touring with the band in 2006, another detail that adds to the group's musical pedigree.
