Wilderado

Wilderado at Cains Ballroom

Wilderado brings a distinctly Tulsa story back home on Wednesday, November 11, 2026 at 7:00 PM at Cains Ballroom. Presented as the band's Route 66 Centennial Celebration Concert, the night already carries a strong sense of place before the first note lands. That hometown connection gives the show a natural pull for anyone who likes seeing an artist return to the city that helped shape its identity.

Wilderado is an American indie folk band from Tulsa, Oklahoma, with a core lineup that includes Max Rainer, Tyler Wimpee, and Justin Kila. The group's name is also a clever detail, presented as an altered version of the Texas town name Wildorado. Taken together, those facts point to a band with personality and roots, the kind of act that can draw listeners in through atmosphere as much as through melody.

For anyone who enjoys songs that leave room for texture, feeling, and thoughtful writing, this date stands out in Tulsa live music shows. Indie folk has a way of sounding intimate without feeling small, and Wilderado's local tie adds extra resonance to that appeal. The Route 66 framing gives the evening a broader Oklahoma backdrop, while Cains Ballroom supplies a familiar landmark for a show centered on identity and sound. If you like music that feels grounded in a real place and carried by a band with a clear sense of who it is, this is worth attention.
