Pearl District Tulsa: Neighborhood & Visitor Guide
Tulsa’s Pearl District combines music history, neighborhood businesses and a park just east of downtown. Build a visit around The Church Studio, a bakery stop or a drink on Sixth Street, with time to see how the neighborhood fits together.

Choose a destination before setting out: The Church Studio is at 304 S Trenton Avenue, while Veterans Park is at 1028 E 6th Street. The Pearl District is a neighborhood with separate businesses, not an attraction with one entrance or a shared opening time.

The neighborhood developed in the early 20th century as a streetcar suburb. Tulsa’s area plan describes a mix of bungalows, small apartment buildings, brick commercial streets and working businesses. That mix helps explain why a visit feels different from a single shopping strip.
Sixth and Eleventh streets are important corridors, but individual destinations can be spread across several blocks. Choose two or three stops that work with each other’s hours instead of assuming everything is on the same corner.
Start with The Church Studio
At 304 S Trenton Avenue, The Church Studio brings the neighborhood’s music history into focus. Leon Russell established the studio, and today it combines a working recording environment with a museum exploring the Tulsa Sound, Shelter Records and the musicians connected with the building.
The museum currently lists tours Monday–Saturday, 10 a.m.–3 p.m., with walk-ins welcome and advance tickets available. Check the current tour page before going, since the working recording studio’s schedule can affect museum access.
Bakery mornings and Sixth Street drinks
Country Bird Bakery is at 1644 E 3rd Street, Unit B. Its posted hours are Thursday 10 a.m.–2 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m.–1 p.m.; check the bakery’s updates for the Thursday opening dates. If you’re planning around a particular item, look at the weekly menu or preorder options before setting out.
The bakery directs drivers to parking behind the building, reached from Utica Avenue. Plan the bakery early in your outing rather than treating it as an all-day cafe.
Nothing’s Left Brewing Co. lists its taproom at 1502 E 6th Street. Its changing drink menu includes nonalcoholic options as well as beer, and the visitor FAQ lists Tortoise Pizza for food. Check current service before deciding whether it will be your full meal or a shorter drinks stop.
Veterans Park, formerly Centennial Park
The park at 1028 E 6th Street is now Veterans Park. Tulsa renamed the former Centennial Park in 2021, while the building is listed as Centennial Center in Veterans Park. Knowing both names helps when you encounter older photos or directions.
Use the park as an outdoor break between neighborhood stops. If you want to attend a program or enter the center, check that activity separately; the building’s name on a map does not establish public drop-in hours.
Walking, parking and transit
Map your chosen stops before deciding to walk the whole outing. The district is east of downtown, with the highway corridor separating parts of the two areas. Use sidewalks and public crossings rather than assuming every apparent shortcut is a pedestrian route.
For driving, follow the parking directions of the business you’re visiting and check any lot restrictions. Country Bird’s rear parking instructions apply to that bakery, not to every Pearl District stop.
MetroLink’s trip planner is the place to check current services and detours. Use a specific address for the outward and return trips, especially if your visit ends later than it begins.
Continue into another part of Tulsa
The Pearl District works well as its own short outing. If you want more, choose a separate Route 66 food stop or a downtown activity. The Arts District museums and music venues make another useful destination, with their own tickets and opening hours.
Find the neighborhood stops
Choose a named destination to see its location. The park’s current name is Veterans Park; older directions may call it Centennial Park.
