The organizer’s current festival guide still lists the October 22–25, 2026 public dates, with Corporate Night on the preceding Wednesday. Those dates and that timetable belong to the completed edition.
For the next visit, look for the new festival year on the dates, ticket page and daily program. Corporate Night and other special experiences have separate arrangements from ordinary public festival entry.
Choose your day around the experience you want. An afternoon family visit and a late music-focused evening can be very different outings.
A Tulsa tradition with Bavarian roots
The festival began in 1979 and is patterned after Munich’s Oktoberfest. Tulsa Oktoberfest, Inc. describes its purpose as celebrating German culture while benefiting Tulsa and River Parks, with River Parks Authority producing the event.
Large festival tents bring food, music and social gatherings together along the river. You can build a visit around the cultural programming and food as well as beer, rather than treating the event as only a late-night outing.
Food, music and activities to look for
Recent festival programs have included bratwurst, German beers, Bavarian cheesecake, arts and crafts, stein hoisting and bier barrel racing. Music is spread across different tents and stages, so a little planning helps you catch the performances you care about.
Once the new program is available, pick a few performances you want to catch and check their tents before arriving. Leave time to move between stages rather than filling every minute of the plan.
For a family outing, look for the children’s tent, activities and any designated family admission period in the new program. Check age rules and ride arrangements for that edition before deciding what the day will cost.
Compare the ticket types
The organizer offers a ticket-and-experiences page covering general admission, table reservations and special events. Compare what each option includes before choosing a package; a reserved dinner and an ordinary entry ticket serve different plans.
Look for the correct festival year when new tickets go on sale. Check child admission, payment rules, entry policies and any cancellation terms directly with the organizer.
Shuttles, parking and the trip home
The 2026 festival used free Schnelle Fahrt shuttles from remote pickup points and had limited parking near the grounds. That is useful context for planning a visit, but the next transport plan must confirm its own stops, operating times and access arrangements.
Choose a pickup point and check return service before booking around a shuttle. If you need a lift-equipped bus, use the accessibility details for the new edition rather than assuming every stop offers the same service.
For rideshare, follow the organizer’s designated drop-off and pickup instructions. Save the return location before arriving and allow time for event traffic.
Choosing a place to stay
The organizer’s 2026 accommodation page listed options including DoubleTree Tulsa Downtown, Marriott Southern Hills and La Quinta Downtown/Route 66. Use the next edition’s hotel and transport information to compare locations; a listed hotel does not automatically include a future shuttle or festival package.
For a downtown stay, compare room style, parking and your plans outside the festival. Confirm any package dates and inclusions with the hotel before booking.
