Bryan Callen at Bricktown Comedy Club - Tulsa

Bryan Callen brings a conversational, quick-turning style to Bricktown Comedy Club in Tulsa on December 31 at 10:30 PM, and that late-night slot fits a comedian whose appeal lives in the rhythm of the room. Billed as an American actor, comedian, and podcaster, he comes with a broad entertainment background that helps shape the way he tells stories onstage. If you like stand-up that feels like an actual conversation, with a performer who can pivot between observation, attitude, and a more personal point of view, this is a strong pick.

Callen's life and career give his comedy a wider frame without making it feel academic. He spent his first 14 years overseas in countries including India, Pakistan, Greece, and Lebanon before moving to the United States, then later attended high school in Massachusetts and earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from American University in Washington, DC. That mix of experience and perspective often matters in comedy, where timing and point of view can be just as important as the punch line. His television debut came as a series regular on MADtv and the HBO prison series Oz, and he has also performed stand-up on Comedy Central's Live at Gotham and CBS' Late Show with David Letterman.

For listeners who like to follow a comic's body of work, there is plenty to browse before the show. His third one-hour comedy special, Complicated Apes, reached the iTunes charts when it was released in March 2019, adding another entry point for new fans and longtime followers alike. Among live comedy shows in Tulsa, this date stands out for people who enjoy a seasoned stand-up voice with acting and podcasting roots.
