Come From Away

Come From Away at Liddy Doenges Theatre at Tulsa Performing Arts Center

Thirty-eight unexpected planes brought a small Canadian town a challenge it could never have imagined. On September 11, 2001, Gander, Newfoundland opened its doors, and its hearts, to thousands of stranded travelers. Come From Away brings that true story to life with humor, warmth and the kind of kindness the world needs to witness again.

The story makes that history personal. It's a celebration of humanity. Written by Irene Sankoff and David Hein, the musical captures the cultural clashes, unexpected friendships and raw generosity that bloomed when an entire community chose compassion over fear. The moments are tender, funny and achingly real, a reminder that connection can happen anywhere, even in chaos.
