Les Miserables

Les Miserables at Williams Theatre at Tulsa Performing Arts Center

Victor Hugo's story still lands with force because it is built on human stakes: mercy, justice, survival, and the long shadow of the past. Theatre Tulsa's Les Misérables brings that sweep to the Williams Theatre at Tulsa Performing Arts Center on January 10, 2027 at 2:00 PM, in a setting that makes a major musical feel close enough to catch every turn in the drama. For anyone drawn to theatrical storytelling with emotional weight, this is a strong reason to spend an afternoon at the theatre.

The production is part of Theatre Tulsa's Broadway Series and locally produced musical lineup, which gives it added appeal for Tulsa audiences who want a familiar classic presented by a major regional company. The musical itself is based on Victor Hugo's novel and centers on Jean Valjean and Inspector Javert, a pairing that has made the story one of the most recognized in modern theatre. With music by Claude-Michel Schönberg, lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer, and book by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg, the show combines memorable theatrical writing with a story that continues to resonate.

There is also something especially inviting about seeing a large-scale musical in the intimate Williams Theatre at Tulsa PAC, where 421 seats create a more immediate connection to the stage. That setting can make the scale of Les Misérables feel personal rather than distant, which suits a piece so focused on choices, consequences, and hope. If this kind of musical storytelling speaks to you, explore the ticket listings for this Tulsa theatre presentation and see what seats are available.
